"Play is the work of the child."-Maria Montessori

At Bransford, a child's work is play! Students get daily play experiences while working on the TN Developmental Early Learning Standards. In this photos, students in Mrs. Jennifer's class were invited to make pretend birthday cakes at the sensory table. Students filled cups with colorful rice and placed birthday candles shaped like numerals on them. Additionally, extra candles were provided so students could practice 1:1 counting to place the number of candles to match the numeral. That's a fun way to learn about numbers and counting!
