Read a book about snow! ❄️

Discuss why it snows, what you can do in the snow, what clothes do you wear to stay warm when playing in the snow?

 

Read a book about presidents! 🇺🇸

Discuss who our president is, where does he live, who are some of our past presidents?

 

Read your child's favorite book! 📚

Ask them how they could change the ending, what character do they like the most or least, draw a picture to go with the story, discuss if the story is make believe or real, and what the difference is between make believe and true?

 

Practice Counting! 🔢

Count beans, macaroni, crackers, etc. 1 to 10 at first, and then groups of 2, 3, 4, and 5.

 

Practice the Alphabet! 🔤

Find letters on cereal boxes, magazines, newspapers, etc. Name the letter and make the letter sound.

 

Get Messy! 🎨

Get shaving cream and spray it out on a table. Say a letter and have your child write it with their finger. Then, say the letter sound and see if your child can identify it. Try numbers as well!
